Sam plummeted/fell/crashed to the ground with a loud/sharp/painful thud/sound/crash.

His New Friend

Sam was feeling a little sad. He hoped to have a new buddy to play with. One day, while he was running in the yard, he noticed something different. It was a little being with bright scales. Sam carefully went up to the creature and asked, "Hello! What's your title?" The creature smiled and answered Sam, "I'm Lily!" And so, Sam made a new friend. They spent the rest of the day playing together.

Sam was so happy to have found a new friend. He knew that he and Lily would be close buddies forever.
